  1. The United States and Iran have agreed to a two-week ceasefire after 40 days of conflict, with peace talks set to begin in Islamabad on Friday. Pakistan brokered the agreement, which also includes Iran reopening the Strait of Hormuz for safe passage during the truce period.[1]
